Catches commitments made in chat
Reading Slack means Mailient sees the "yes, I'll send that over today" that was never written down anywhere else, and can chase it like any other open loop.
Routes approvals to you
When a draft needs your sign-off, the request can come to Slack, so approving work does not require sitting down at the inbox.
Posts deal and project updates
When something moves, the people who need to know can be told — as a channel post or a direct message to the specific person.
Sends a weekly digest
A team-facing summary of what happened, so the weekly update is written rather than remembered.
How to connect Slack
Slack connects through its standard OAuth flow. You authorize the workspace and the channels Mailient can reach; it cannot see private channels it has not been added to.

Slack's own screen shows exactly what is being granted. Mailient reaches the channels you allow and nothing you have not added it to.

A direct message to yourself is the usual choice for a solo founder. A channel makes more sense if others should see it.

Slack integration FAQ
Why connect Slack to an email tool?
Because the commitment and the reminder often live in different places. You promise something in a Slack thread, it never becomes an email, and nothing in your inbox will ever remind you of it. Reading both means Mailient can see the whole set of things you owe people rather than the subset that happens to have arrived by mail.
Can Mailient read my private channels?
Only ones it has been explicitly added to. Slack's own permission model governs this, and Mailient cannot see a private channel you have not invited it into. You can revoke the app from your Slack workspace settings at any time.
Will it post messages as me?
It posts as the Mailient app, not as you, so nobody is misled about who wrote something. Messages it sends on your behalf follow the same approval default as email.
Do I need a paid Slack plan?
No. The integration works on Slack's free tier, though free workspaces limit how far back message history goes, which limits how much past context Mailient can draw on.
