About Mailient
Mailient is an AI inbox employee for solo founders. It reads your Gmail on a schedule, works out the few things that genuinely need you, writes the replies in your voice, books the meetings, chases what went quiet — and leaves you one briefing to approve.
Who builds it
One person: Maulik, who was fourteen when he built it. There is no team, no investors and no support department — which is worth knowing before you connect your inbox to it, and is also why it is deliberately scoped to one founder with one Gmail rather than pretending to serve enterprises.
The upside of that is the thing you are reading now. When we found that our own site described encryption we had built but never actually switched on, we corrected it across every page, wrote up why almost no AI email tool can honestly make that claim, and left a note saying we got it wrong. A larger company would have quietly edited the page.
What it can see, stated plainly
- It reads your mail. It has to — you cannot sort an inbox without reading it. Anything claiming otherwise is not sorting.
- It does not send without you. Replies land in your Gmail drafts and wait. Autonomous sending exists and is off until you turn it on yourself.
- It never sees your password.Sign-in is Google's own OAuth screen, and you can revoke access from your Google account in seconds.
- The AI does not learn who you know. Names and addresses are swapped for placeholders before anything reaches a language model, then restored in the result.
- Your mail never trains a model.Not ours, not the model provider's.

Not to be confused with
The name sits close to several established email products, and search engines mix them up. Mailient has no connection to MailerLite, Mailigen, MailerSend, Mailinator or Mailmeteor. Those are newsletter, bulk sending and inbox-testing tools. Mailient does not send campaigns and has no mailing list features — it works on the inbox you already have.

No. None of those are related to Mailient in any way. Those are email marketing, newsletter and email-testing products. Mailient is an AI assistant that works on your personal or company inbox — it does not send campaigns or newsletters, and it has no connection to those companies.

Is Mailient legit and safe to connect to my Gmail?
You connect through Google's own OAuth screen, so Mailient never sees your password, and you can revoke access from your Google account in seconds. Stored data and access tokens are encrypted with AES-256-GCM at rest, and personal details are replaced with placeholders before anything reaches an AI model. Your mail is never used to train models. It is a small independent product rather than a large company, and you should weigh that — the honest answer to "should I trust it" is to connect it, look at what it produces, and revoke it if you do not like what you see.
Can Mailient read my email?
Yes — it has to. Nothing can tell a customer from a newsletter without reading the message. What matters is what it does without asking, and the answer is nothing: replies are saved as Gmail drafts and wait for your approval by default. Autonomous sending exists but is off unless you switch it on for a specific agent.
How much does Mailient cost?
$29 a month, with a 3-day free trial. There is also a $199 annual plan and a $499 one-time Lifetime Founder option. Every plan includes the whole product — there is no feature gating between tiers, only how you pay.
Does Mailient work with Outlook or for teams?
