Gmail connects through Google's own OAuth consent screen. Mailient asks for four scopes — read, compose, send and modify — granted in one screen, and you can revoke them from your Google account at any time.

Gmail integration FAQ
What Gmail permissions does Mailient need?
Four scopes, granted in one Google consent screen: read, so it can tell a customer from a newsletter; compose, so it can save drafts; modify, so it can label and archive; and send, which is what lets you approve a draft and have it go out. You can revoke all of them from your Google account's security settings at any time.
Will Mailient send emails from my Gmail without asking?
Not by default. Replies are saved as Gmail drafts and wait for you to approve them. Autonomous sending exists as a per-agent setting, but it is off unless you deliberately turn it on.
Does Mailient replace Gmail?
No. You keep Gmail exactly as it is — same address, same history, same filters, same client. Mailient works behind it and writes drafts back into it, so you can carry on using Gmail, Superhuman, Shortwave or anything else on top of the same account.
Does it work with Google Workspace?
Generally yes, though a Workspace admin may need to approve third-party app access for your domain. If you hit an approval wall, that is an admin setting rather than a limit of the integration.
Is my email used to train AI models?
No. Your mail is read to do your work and is not used as training data.
